In the quiet hum of a digital workspace, young and upcoming professionals in Website Development, Stefan Adams, Marklon Brown, Donte Patterson and Soyini Slater, plugged in daily to create the Yardy River Adventures Website. Ryan Cole, Manager of Information Systems at Yardy River Adventures and a 2nd Year student at Utech, Jamaica, lead the charge and provided excellent technical expertise in creating this ground-breaking website.
At the center of Yardy’s vision to grow communities, this innovative digital platform will bring together one of our landmark community, Independent Sellers through the website’s capability to generate and distinguish traffic to the site such tertiary students, travel planners and influencers can promote and sell Yardy products to their networks with a unique link (QR Code). Also, in the wings, a group of interns with training in Mobile Application Development, Daejhonnel Denton, Ruschay Mair and Oshane Bowra is skilfully crafting the Yardy River Adventures Mobile App.
Separated by miles but joined by passion and a drive to create and innovate, each member of the team was consistent in their input. This teaches a profound lesson, youthfulness is not a fair comparative for incapable or inexperienced. These young ladies and gentlemen have demonstrated that given the opportunity, they can accomplish great things. Yardy is building a brand and we are delighted to showcase their ability as a part of our brand making story.
We can certainly anticipate continued improvements as the team of interns lead by a current university student acquire insight into how their skills impact the users’ experience. Heartfelt thanks is in order for the HEART NTSA Trust for facilitating this mutually beneficial engagement.
